Data we collect

• Email address (for account login)
• Username and display name (chosen by you)
• Match predictions you submit
• Optional profile fields: country, favorite team

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

When you delete your account:

• Your name, email address, avatar, country, and favorite team are permanently deleted.
• Your username is replaced with an anonymous placeholder.
• You are signed out immediately. Other active sessions expire within one hour.
• Historical predictions and league standings may remain as Deleted User to preserve league integrity.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free tool. It collects no personal data and stores no cookies. Only anonymous, aggregate statistics are gathered.

Cookies & local storage

We use only two types of storage. Strictly necessary cookies: Supabase stores an authentication session cookie so you stay signed in. Functional cookies: a language preference cookie ("locale") stores your chosen language for up to one year. Browser local storage: a single flag remembers if you have dismissed the app install prompt. No tracking cookies are used. Plausible Analytics is cookie-free.

Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase (database and authentication) — supabase.com/privacy
• Vercel (hosting and CDN) — vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Google (OAuth sign-in, optional) — policies.google.com/privacy
• API-Football (live match data) — api-football.com — we do not share your personal data with this provider
• Plausible Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics) — plausible.io/privacy

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal identifiers (email, name, avatar) are removed immediately. Anonymised prediction and scoring history may be retained indefinitely to preserve league integrity.

Age and nature of service

Football Prediction Arena is suitable for users aged 9 and above. This is a free, entertainment-only service. It does not involve real money, betting, or gambling of any kind.

International data transfers

Our infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel) is operated from servers located primarily in the United States and other countries outside the EEA. By using the service you consent to this transfer. We rely on industry-standard contractual safeguards where required.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (1) Contract performance — processing your data is necessary to provide the prediction league service. (2) Legitimate interests — aggregate, anonymised analytics to improve the service.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger zone.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Lodge a complaint — contact your local data protection authority.
